The main Stanislaus River was once the most popular commercial rafting run in California (and probably in the United States). After it was dammed in the early 80’s, most rafting companies moved their businesses to the South Fork of the American. What we have left is an incredible run on the North Stan, and some summer options that appear when the reservoirs are really low.
